HUGE thank you to The Lyle S. Hallman Foundation for their $100,000 grant. The Foundation is a huge supporter of free to use youth recreation opportunities in Waterloo region and was a major supporter of the Ayr skatepark

Project GOAL: The goal of the Ayr Pump Track Committee is to have a permanent, free to use, multi-use, asphalt pump track constructed in a central location within the town of Ayr. We are targeting a size of 20,000 sq ft and roughly 200m in length What is a Pump Track? A pump track is designed for all things on wheels. Location Chosen

We now have a location! It took some convincing on my side but The Township has settled on Jim Schmidt Memorial Park. This is the location that our committee has been advocating for since day 1. This location is central to the most populated areas of Ayr and will maximize the utilization of the facility once completed. Schmidt Park is located at 53 Hilltop Drive Ayr and is directly beside Cedar Creek Public school and neighbours the Ayr Fire Hall. The park has a covered pavilion with washrooms, 2 baseball diamonds, 3 tennis courts, open green space, a walking path with shade structures and a new playground. The Pump Track will be a fantastic addition!
